The Tomb
"I love you, rose
Give yourself to me
I will be your vase
Together we shall be"
The rose gifted herself to the vase
Together they stood
Withstanding the weathers
Love prevailed, life was good
Every day the rose gifted
Delicate new petals
To her precious vase
For their love to last and last
And the vase began to grow
Suddenly cutting into her stem
Till blood covered her brow
"What are you doing?
You are killing me",
Cried out the frightened flower
"You will not die
I shall not set you free -
You know I do not like
The wind that sings to your petals
And you accept it
I do not like the rain
That rests on you like the dew drops
And you permit it
I do not like your fragrance
Reaching another vase
Why don't you hide it?
I do not like the morning sun
That sets your beauty radiating
So, I will build a wall
Around you
With my body and my blood
You are mine
And no one else
Would ever cast an eye on you!'
And the vase lost his form ...
He grew into a shape - vaseless
He converted himself into a tomb
That locked up the rose
The delicate flower died
I ask you -
Whom did she leave behind?
The vase?
Or
The Tomb?
